Carla is an occupational therapist with over 10 year’s experience working in early childhood intervention, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and home and educational settings. Carla enjoys supporting children, families and educators to maximise children’s participation and enjoyment of daily activities. Carla has a passion for providing therapy for children with development delays, neurodevelopmental differences (autism, ADHD) and mental health concerns (anxiety, self-regulation challenges).
Carla ensures that therapy is engaging, collaborative, functional and evidence-based. With a belief that therapy should be built on children and their family’s strengths, Carla utilises frameworks that aim to build capacity including Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (COOP), Learn to Play, Alert Program, Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking.
